The tyres we wanted to ride didn’t exist.

Years of studying tyre pressure, rolling resistance, aerodynamics, vibration losses, rim width, sealant, valves, rim tape, and TPU tubes taught us that a modern race tyre is more than tread and rubber. It’s part of a complete tyre system where every engineering decision affects performance. We weren’t looking to make another tyre. We were looking to build the tyres we wanted to ride. Measured tyre width is based on a 25 mm internal rim width and recorded 24 hours after installation. Actual installed width will vary with rim dimensions.

RCG-3 Architecture

Tightly spaced, elongated center knobs increase in both size and height as the pattern moves outward, building buoyancy and contact patch through the corner. That shape keeps you rolling smoothly on the rubber rather than squirming on the casing.

Performance Data

The RCG-3 returned 24.7 kg of puncture resistance in controlled lab testing, well ahead of the Continental Dubnital at 22.3 and the Schwalbe Thunder Burt at 19.9. It rolls faster than the Dubnital at 28.2 watts and undercuts both on weight, so the added protection arrives without the penalty that usually comes with it.

Ideal Conditions

Harsh courses and unpredictable terrain, the kind you find in Category 3 gravel events like Unbound, Big Sugar, and The Rift. When you do not know exactly what the day holds, this is the tire to start with.
