Chest Circumference

The Backcountry Hydration Backpack comes in two sizes to accommodate riders of all shapes and has been designed with all-day comfort in mind. For choosing your size, we recommend measuring your chest circumference whilst wearing your regular riding gear. With your arms relaxed at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest with a flexible measuring tape. For riders that fit both sizes, we recommend sizing down.

Designed for Fit

The Backcountry Hydration Backpack is designed around an endurance on-bike anatomic fit, with the goal of being comfortable, secure and stable over many hours of technical, remote terrain.

The neckline is cut low to avoid chafing or getting in the way of a helmet when moving dynamically around the bike, falling below the neckline of most jerseys to avoid rubbing on any seams.

The front is shaped to fit high enough up the torso to avoid causing any chafing or impeding movement and the rear is high enough to ensure riders can still access their jersey, or bib liner pockets.

The sides are shaped to avoid any chafing around the arms, using an open construction and stretchy materials that provide a secure fit without restricting breathing.

Fitting the Backcountry Hydration Backpack

When fitting the Backcountry Hydration Backpack, adjust the sternum straps first until the vest fits comfortably over the chest. Once these are in position, the side straps can be tightened until the vest is stable.

The flexible mesh side and webbing strap design ensure the vest is not restrictive even when cinched tightly.
