MAINTENANCE CLASSES We have two levels of
classes. The first is an introductory
morning to familiarise yourself with your bike’s parts and their functions, to
learn the best way to maintain your bike, and to learn to change a flat tyre. The second class is a
day-long program that is well-suited to someone looking to take their
knowledge and skills to the next level or for someone about to embark on a cycle
tour. Costs are discounted

INTRODUCTION TO YOUR BICYCLE
Time: Dates: We lost our favourite venue for our
classes in late 2006. We’re working on
finding a new venue for 2007 and hope to have some classes running in the
second half of the year. If you are
interested in this class, please fill in the form on the Join Us page. When we have
confirmed dates, we will email everyone on that list.
A 2 hour, hands-on workshop limited to a maximum of 10 participants. Designed for the absolute beginner to help them to de-mystify their bike.
Topics covered: b Bike safety check; b Anatomy of your bicycle; b Top 10 maintenance tips; b How to fix a puncture. The
main focus of this workshop is learning how to fix a flat tyre through giving
it a go yourself. So, bring your
bicycle and some clothes that can get dirty.
Course notes and
morning tea is provided. We also supply all necessary tools and cleaning equipment. However, if you have your own tools (such as a multi-tool and tyre levers) we recommend that you bring them so that you are getting used to using your own tools.
REGISTRATION IS A MUST AS PLACES ARE LIMITED. Please phone the shop (07 3368 2324) to have a registration form mailed out to you. Due to the popularity of our classes, payment must accompany registration.
